Baby shower!

On Sunday, February 19th our friends Cheryl and Tracy hosted a baby shower for our sweet baby boy. We were more than overwhelmed with the generosity of our family and friends who made this such a wonderul and memorable event.

33 Weeks!

We had our 33 week appointment today. The baby is doing wonderfully! He is very active and looks to be making his migration into the birth canal. My blood pressure was a little elevated and iron a bit low but not much of a concern. The baby is measuring a couple of weeks ahead in size and the doctor is still projecting him to be large. We are going to start going back for weekly visits from now on.

How far along? 33 Weeks

Total weight gain: 34 lbs
Maternity clothes? oh yes
Stretch marks? just a couple around my belly button
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well at night
Best moment this week: Getting into my car on Valentine's Day to find a bouquet of flowers, card and candy from Taylor
Miss Anything? sleeping on my tummy and being able to bend over
Movement: Lots of baby movement, this is one active little boy. We just sit and watch my belly in amazement.
Food cravings: Oranges
Anything making you queasy or sick: not really
Gender: sweet baby boy
Labor Signs: some contractions, lower back pain and internal pain
Symptoms: immobility like no other

Crochet!!

Recently I decided to teach myself how to crochet. So far I have watched a couple instructional videos on YouTube to learn the craft. These are the first two baby beanies I've made. I hope to get a lot better and start making animal themed beanies.

Art in the Park

Last weekend we went to Art in the Park hosted by the town of Lady Lake. Local craftsmen had sales tents with displays of various forms of arts along with the Historic Town's Museum being open for tours. Even though we live in a very small town, there always seems to be a lot of activity going on. There are weekly farmers markets in this same location to purchase locally grown produce.

Reptile Party

Taylor and I went my friends 7-year old boys reptile themed birthday party today. Robbie and Stephen from the Discovery Channel TV show "Swamp Brothers" brought some of their reptile buddies by for all of the kids to enjoy.
