As we have started to really settle in and get used to life in Canada things are really going well. Taylor has been working at an Optometrist office as an assistant and he enjoys it. Cade is growing so fast and he amazes me everyday with his witty personality. He wants to figure out how everything works and he is quite fearless.
There is a program at the local elementary schools here called Strong Start that is free to all children from ages 0 to 6. They have a classroom full of learning toys and they have group readings everyday. I try to take Cade as often as I can if the weather permits because he absolutely loves it. We are only a few weeks away from his first birthday and it is really starting to hit home for me. It's hard to imagine that I have been blessed with this baby boy for nearly a year now. I feel so privileged to have been giving the opportunity to share my life with him.
We live very close to Taylor's parents which has been great, Cade loves spending time with his grandparents and we love the fact that they are always willing to help out and give us some free time. The move has been great for us in more ways than one!
I truly do miss Florida, mostly because I miss my friends, my family and The sunshine!!! We try to keep contact as often as possible but it never is really the same. All I can do is hope that things will get better with time in that aspect and I will be able to visit as soon as Canada allows me. I plan to file my immigration paperwork within the next month. My mom is coming to visit for Cade's birthday and I couldn't be more excited about that. I am hoping that my stepdad and his family will be able to come up for a visit as well in the near future.
