The Reason Behind Our Move

Many people are curious as to why we decided to pack up our lives, sell everything we owned and mov across the continent. I wish I could give one simple answer but it was a combination of many things that helped us to make the decision.

Basically, I was physically and mentally worn out. My body was not recovering from the birth of Cade and my hormones levels were those of a menopausal woman, my thyroid was shutting down and my cortisol levels(stress) were through the roof. To be candid, I was struggling with post partum depression on top of all of that. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I didn't have but a few weeks of maternity leave before I was back at work.

Taylor felt strongly that a mother should be home with a child for at least the first year, obviously since he had no established career in the states we would need to move to his home land of Canada so that he could find a decent career and afford me the opportunity to stay home with Cade.

None of the decisions I had to make we're easy but some risks are worth taking. We needed to do what was best for our family as a whole and this decision seemed to be the most reasonable one.

Blessings,
Rachelle
